Based beneath Charing Cross Station, Heaven began its life as part of the Adelphi Arches – a large wine cellar for the hotel above it. Since 1979 Heaven built a reputation to rival New York’s Studio 54 and established itself at the centre of the then understated gay London club scene. Bought by Branson’s Virgin group in the early 90s its reputation in the gay clubbing community continued to grow until it became a true challenger to more mainstream clubs in central London. Now building a new reputation as a live music venue, Heaven continues to reinvent itself as an adaptable and atmospheric space for a multitude of audiences.
